Tax rates
A tax rate says at what percentage a product is taxed. You reach the list through the Settings navigation entry and the Tax Rates button.
The rate hangs on the product, not on the price. A product carries exactly one tax rate, and from it TRADElube calculates the net from the gross price or the other way round for every price group. How that works in detail is described under prices.
Overview / list
A new client comes with two rates, Standard at 19 percent and Reduced at 7 percent. Those are the German rates. Whoever sells elsewhere creates their own and can delete these two.

Three buttons sit above the list. New creates a rate, Edit opens the selected one, Delete removes it after a confirmation. The latter two require a selected row.
The list shows two columns:
| Column | Content |
|---|---|
| Name | The designation of the rate |
| Tax Rate | The percentage |
Sorting is fixed to Name, ascending.
Deleting reaches into the shop. Every product that carried the rate afterwards stands there without one, and TRADElube marks it as changed. On the next execution that change goes into every connected system. Whoever wants to replace a rate therefore assigns the new one first and deletes the old one afterwards.

Common
| Field | Meaning | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Name | The designation you pick the rate by on the product | Has to be unique |
| Tax Rate | The percentage, to two decimal places | Has to be unique as well: TRADElube does not allow two rates with the same percentage |
That the percentage has to be unique is deliberate. Two rates at 19 percent could not be told apart anywhere, and a connected system that maps by the rate rather than by the name would pick between them at random.
