Manufacturers Upload

The task writes your manufacturers into the Shopware shop. It runs before Products Upload, because a product can only refer to a manufacturer the shop already has.

What gets transferred

For each manufacturer the shop gets the name and, if you switch them on, a description and the link to the website. Apart from the logo, that is all Shopware keeps on a manufacturer.

The task does not transfer the logo. If you want it in the shop, put it there by hand.

A manufacturer that disappears in TRADElube is deleted in the shop on the next execution.

How the transfer plan is built

The task has the channel's shortest plan. It consists of a single section and therefore carries no tab bar: the three assignments sit directly in the Transfer Plan section.

Assignment State
Name Mandatory and switched on
Description Switched off
Link Switched off

With more than one localization the sources carry their language in square brackets. The field Description then appears twice in the source list, as Description [German] and Description [English], and that is how you pick per assignment which language version goes into the shop. The name, by contrast, comes from the manufacturer record itself and is therefore not language-dependent.

Special features and limits

The shop gets one language version only. The assignment takes exactly one source, so one language. Translations of the manufacturer text are maintained in the shop, or you settle for the language your customers read there.

Manufacturers Upload and Manufacturers Download maintain the same channel mapping. So settle per channel which side keeps the manufacturer list.
