Properties Download

The task fetches the color and the size list from TriData and enters them as values in your properties. It runs before Products Download: a variant refers to a color and a size, and both have to be there for that.

What gets transferred

Two lists, and only these two. TriData keeps color and size as master data of their own, each with an identifier and a designation, and that is exactly what the values of your two mapped selection properties are made from.

Which of your properties those are is decided by the channel's Color/Size tab, see TriData / TriCon. As long as the Internal column is empty there, the task transfers nothing.

What disappears in TriData disappears on your side too: at the end of an execution TRADElube removes the values it created itself and that TriData no longer delivers. Unlike with the products there is no confirmation for that, because a property value with no product behind it deletes nothing.

How the transfer plan is built

The plan has no fixed shape, it arises from the mapping. There is one tab per mapped property, so at most two. Without a mapping the plan is empty, and that is the most frequent reason why this task appears to do nothing.

Three rows sit in such a tab, and two of them are rarely touched:

  • Name takes the designation from TriData and is mandatory, on an update as well.
  • Null Value is a fixed value and stands at Keine. An entry carrying that designation is skipped rather than created, because "no color" is a list entry in TriData and an empty entry on your side.
  • Position only appears in the size tab, and there only where the property is not sorted alphabetically. That way XL comes after L and not before it.

Special features and limits

No more than two properties come this way. TriData knows exactly two variant properties, so the Color/Size tab can neither be added to nor shortened. Everything else out of TriData travels along with the products as a product attribute, see Products Download.

The order in TriData has gaps and is assigned anew. TriData numbers its sizes with jumps. TRADElube sorts by that and counts the position through itself, so your list ends up without gaps.
